Areas of specialisation include trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, grief/loss, ADHD, relationship difficulties (marriage and family).
I have a special interest in Women’s health and wellness, including postpartum depression, and navigating the postmodern dilemma of work/life balance and motherhood/parenting.
I have recently been involved in developing a workshop for parents to present scientific evidence-based research and therapeutic support when managing children’s challenging behaviours. I have worked in the US in schools and to the justice system, advocating for children’s educational and mental health rights.
Therapy Approaches include;
- Mindfulness and Movement
- Motivational interviewing
- Psychodynamic therapy
- Family Systems (including multigenerational influences)
I am passionate about empowering clients to experience healing and self-acceptance by identifying underlying emotions and patterns of behaviour that may be impacting life in undesirable ways. I support clients to live in harmony with their authentic self and live in harmony with their values. I value facilitating a safe and welcoming space that allows for a trusting therapeutic relationship free of judgement.
