Dr Jasmina Markovski is a clinical psychologist with over 10-year experience working in psychiatric hospitals and private practice. She has also completed a PhD in the area of chronic depression and personality. Jasmina has facilitated group programs and provided individual therapy to clients with severe and long-standing presentations of personality disorders, chronic depression, eating disorders, psychosis, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, complex trauma and drug and alcohol relapse prevention. Most of her clientele often had co-morbid diagnoses.
Her hospital experience is both in general psychiatry as well as drug and alcohol. In addition to her outpatient work, she has also worked with inpatients and is proficient in working with people in acute crisis, people at high risk and those struggling to adjust to major life changes or significant stressors. The knowledge gained from the above areas makes her skilled at thorough and accurate assessment of both acute and chronic presentations. It has also given her the ability to know what interventions are useful and which ones are not for different presenting problems and degree of symptom severity. Jasmina has a passion for working with people with long-standing emotional difficulties. She works with adults and older adolescents and likes to work with any gender, sexual orientation and cultural background and will always do so openly, honestly and respectfully

Jasmina has gained skills in utilising a number of therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic, DBT, mindfulness, ACT, CBT, motivational interviewing, behavioural interventions, and somatic therapies. Her preferred method is of Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, which she has extensive training and knowledge in. Her interventions are underpinned by current understandings in neurobiology and trauma informed therapies, and she will utilize psycho-educational and skills training as required depending on the persons presenting problem to maximize treatment outcomes.
