Shane is a Clinical Psychologist who completed his Master in Clinical Psychology on the Gold Coast and has been practicing here for the past 4 years. He uses a range of therapeutic methods including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Structured Group Based Therapy.

Shane treats adults and teenagers who are experiencing depression, general anxiety, social anxiety, specific phobias, panic attacks, substance and other addictions, anger management issues, and marriage and relationship difficulties.

Shane is most passionate about helping individuals experience meaningful and fulfilling lives by improving interpersonal relationships and taking action to improve overall life satisfaction. This is achieved by building new skills that are used to manage unhelpful thoughts and difficult feelings, as well as working on identifying, connecting with, and acting in accordance with one’s own values.

Before becoming a psychologist, Shane was a Youth Worker with the Queensland Department of Communities where he assisted young people carry out their court and community based orders. Shane has practiced psychology in a variety of settings across the Gold Coast. He has provided psychological support for individuals experiencing chronic illness at the Gold Coast Hospital. Shane also works at the Currumbin Clinic and provides structured group based therapy to individuals experiencing mood and anxiety disorders as well as substance and other addiction issues.
